In Discovery in English, students not only learn daily conversational English but also engage in a variety of activities that go beyond what a typical 50-minute lesson can offer. These include unique crafts, experiments, cooking, cultural events, outdoor play at the park, and enjoying lunch or snacks with two teachers. Additionally, the program incorporates textbook-based learning to provide a well-rounded educational experience that balances hands-on activities with structured study.
Heroes Class
The Heroes Class is designed around the most effective methods for children to learn a language: enjoying time with friends and teachers in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. This class incorporates structured learning using GTE’s original textbooks to build a strong foundation in English.
By introducing the alphabet and phonics at an early stage, children become familiar with English sounds, helping them smoothly develop reading skills. The aim is to help children perceive English as a natural and enjoyable way of expression while laying the groundwork for future learning.
We believe that the confidence gained through a year of lessons will become a powerful tool for their growth and development.
Adventurers Class
The Adventurers Class encourages children to see the teacher not as someone who simply provides answers but as a "guide" in their English learning journey. This approach nurtures their ability to think and learn independently. Through conversational practice using textbooks, children build confidence and interest in English, while incorporating English-language videos, music, and trends broadens their curiosity about the world and language.
The class also features activities like simple science experiments to explore scientific concepts and crafts to experience different cultures—all conducted in English. By using English as a "tool for exploring the world," children are encouraged to learn about their surroundings and enjoy a journey of discovery and adventure filled with new insights.
