About our School

Teachers

At Green Tree English, we believe that every child’s language journey is like a tree growing strong and tall. With the right environment, kids can flourish—developing confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning. Just as a tree grows naturally, our students thrive through fun, hands-on activities that nurture their curiosity and communication skills. At Green Tree, we’re here to help your child’s language roots grow deep, ensuring a bright future in English.

Our school features a large, green tree on the wall, with each student represented by an apple. We envision our school as a stable foundation where each apple (student) is unique, and the tree provides the right conditions for the apples to grow well each year.

All our teachers have experience teaching children. Teachers also undergo extensive and ongoing training to ensure that our school values are present in every lesson, every day.

Our Approach

Laughing while Learning

Learn Through Fun

Play and learning go together. No matter what it is, if a student is having fun, they're also learning it. This is why we've dedicated ourselves to classes that are packed with fun and often, very new experiences for most kids.

Making Memories

A Positive Environment

Language encompasses various elements such as listening, reading, writing, and understanding. At our school, we do not place much emphasis on reading and writing, as these skills can often be learned independently. Instead, our lessons focus on speaking and listening, helping students develop strong communication skills. We value the experience of speaking in English, making friends, and creating many joyful memories.

Reinforcing Positive Responses

In our school, there is no "no Japanese" rule, because we want kids to express themselves and say what they want to say. This is important in order to create a bond with the teachers and learn that speech is communication. We will teach them how to say what they want in English and have them repeat, then reinforce it with appropriate responses.

Maximum Exposure

Our teachers speak as much English as naturally as possible during lessons. They describe what’s happening, play with the kids directly in English and teach natural phrases that kids want to say. We aim to give children more exposure in English than other schools through high-paced, energetic, and immersive lessons.

Speak Freely

We believe communication is very important. We're always looking for feedback from parents, whether it be what goals they have for their children or what concerns they have about their growth. We'd also like students to tell us what they have interests in, as we'd love to incorporate different ideas into our lessons!

A Passion to Learn

Many times we've seen students who study English, but don't seem to like learning it.At our school, we focus on “experiencing” English rather than simply “studying” it. Our goal is to spark children’s interest in English, help them feel a natural familiarity with the language, and inspire a desire to continue learning even outside the classroom.

Hear what our Parents are saying!

Every lesson is filled with various crafts and activities that the children enjoy, making it a fun experience to attend. After about a year and a half of attending, I feel that my child has been gradually and naturally acquiring English skills.

We hope to continue attending for a long time to come!

Tamaki, Play in English & Headstart

The classroom is spacious, making it easy for the children to sing songs and play games during lessons. It provides an environment that is very conducive to learning and participating in activities.

Although my daughter still speaks in simple English with a limited vocabulary, she has become much more comfortable compared to last year, whether singing during class or talking with the teacher.

The teachers pay close attention to both the children's strengths and areas for improvement.

S-chan, English FUNdamentals

My daughter, who used to cling to me and couldn’t be left with anyone, was able to spend four hours at the school from the very first day! I’m so glad I didn’t give up and decided to give it a try. It’s all thanks to the teachers who were kind and made the experience fun for her.

Now, she looks forward to school days because she wants to see Paula, Tony, and Shige!

The fact that she enjoys going to school is the happiest thing for me as a parent.

She says she loves everything—singing, crafts, games, outdoor play, and lunchtime!
