  1. Young children naturally mimic new sounds, which helps them develop clear pronunciation and strong listening skills. Even if they haven’t started speaking Japanese yet, introducing English will not delay their Japanese language development. This is because the majority of their environment is still in Japanese, providing a balanced foundation.

  2. It’s common for children aged 2-4 to mix Japanese and English when speaking, but this resolves naturally as they continue to be exposed to both languages. Over time, they learn to distinguish and use each language appropriately.

  3. Starting English at a young age allows children to experience the language as a natural part of daily life. When English becomes integrated into their routine, they become more open to watching English shows, listening to English music, and engaging with the language effortlessly. At GTE, children can practice the English they hear at home with our native-speaking teachers, reinforcing their skills in a supportive environment.

4. Very young learners are not self-conscious, enabling them to speak English freely without fear of making mistakes. This builds confidence and lays a strong foundation for future learning and skill development. By the time they reach middle school, where English is often evaluated through test scores, children who have been familiar with English from a young age can continue learning without the stress and pressure of catching up.

5. Early language learning promotes brain development, enhancing problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and creativity.

6. Learning a second language from a young age deepens understanding of other cultures and nurtures a global perspective.
